"Square In A Round Hole"

“Square In A Round Hole”
©️ by Frank DeCenso, Jr.

[Vs1]
The circus came to town, they were looking for a clown –
I had nothing better to do, so I couldn’t turn them down.
The clothes did not fit, cause when I sat they split –
I never learned to sew, so I got up and quit.

CHORUS
I feel like a square, in a round hole;
Maybe I’ll fit, but I’ll probably roll...
My guppies are floating in their bowl,
I’m just a square in a round hole.

[Vs2]
The ballet came on by, so I thought I'd join and try –
The girls were real skinny, and I didn’t know why...
Till I tried on the tights, then out went the lights,
I couldn’t breathe, time to leave, I'm sure I was a sight.

CHORUS
I feel like a square, in a round hole;
Maybe I’ll fit, but I’ll probably roll...
My guppies are floating in their bowl,
I’m just a square in a round hole.

[BRIDGE]
Maybe I’ll chill,
And watch Doctor Phil,
While eating rice cakes;
I’m better at,
Staying where I’m at,
Hoping nothing else breaks…

CHORUS
I feel like a square, in a round hole;
Maybe I’ll fit, but I’ll probably roll.
My guppies are floating in their bowl,
I’m just a square in a round hole.
