You tried hard to forget me, but mem'ries never fail;

That ring on your finger, stuck on like it would prevail…

You stopped at a freeway sign, destinations all around;

The engine roared confusion, and your heart echoed that sound -

You turned and raced through neighborhoods, then fin'ly reached our home;

That moment came forever, and it wouldn't leave alone.
