“Romance”

[Vs1]
He
sits under midnight's falling stars,
Head buried deep in his hands;
It
was a summer night like this,
She
said, "I need a different man"…
Not long ago he stole her heart,
They'd stare through candlelight;
He'd buy her long stemmed roses,
But the candle lit roses died.
CHORUS 1
There's always need
for romance,
When two hearts once
unite;
But where's that place
for romance,
When one forgets what's right...
[Vs2]
He
cries with his emotions raw,
Burned up by her release;
The
nighttime carries a ghostly chill -
Her memories came to feast…
He
runs from promises graveyard home,
And knows that she was right;
His
promises to her strike him hard,
And
for them now he vows to fight.
CHORUS 1
There's always need
for romance,
When two hearts once
unite;
But where's that place
for romance,
When one forgets what's right...
[Vs3]
He
finds her in a café's booth,
Her
eyes are red with pain;
He
grabs her close and holds her tight,
Says for her love he will change…
Her
touch is filled with gentleness,
Sighs
underneath her breath;
She
sees in his eyes the man she loved,
And
not the man she left.
CHORUS 2
There's always need
for romance,
When two hearts once
unite;
And there's a place for
romance,
When two get it back right...
There's always need
for romance,
Every heart lives for a
taste;
And when two fight for romance,
Those hearts will melt in place.
